The role of artist manager and marketing consultant puts me in a working relationship with a number of different personalities. Some want us to perform miracles with little or no pay on a daily basis. However, there are a few who recognize the value of the service our company offers. I call them the Grateful Client and quite frankly they are my favorite people to work with. I work much harder for the Grateful Client as a result of the appreciation they show. We have worked with a few Grateful Clients who have even sent an unexpected gift or card to show appreciation for the work we do for them.
One thing I have learned from this experience is that I want to be a Grateful Client when I engage others to work for me.
