The Music Gardener’s Top 5 Records For 2010

As 2010 comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of The Music Gardener’s favorite music this year. While I listened to a number of records this year, below are my Top 5 Personal Favorites.

Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon “Come Around Sundown – I have been trying to understand the buzz on this band for the last five years. For some reason, I have been unable to get into their previous records. That all changed with the recent release of “Come Around Sundown” I absolutely love this record!

Tenth Avenue North

Tenth Avenue North

Tenth Avenue North “The Light Meets The Dark” – What an amazing record! I love to hear well written songs and this band’s songwriting is phenominal! I have seen the band perform a few times this year and they sound just as great live.

Circleslide

Circleslide

Circleslide “Echoes of The Light” – This record was more than just another record. “Echoes of the Light” is an experience. It’s the first music Circleslide has released in three years. This record is so amazing that I want to shout it from mountaintops so the world will know. If you don’t own this record, do yourself a favor and buy it!

Dave Barnes

Dave Barnes

Dave Barnes “You, the Night & Candlelight” – This was my first introduction to Dave Barnes music. A great romantic cd that adds the perfect ambiance to a nice dinner and hang time with my wife. The only disappointing thing about the record is that it is an EP and only contains five songs. Oh well, that’s why we have repeat buttons!

Beth Whitney

Beth Whitney

Beth Whitney  “Yellow” – My new weekend morning coffee cd. It puts me in such a wonderful mood. I’m so glad that I discovered Beth’s music this year and can’t wait to hear more from her in the future!
